🏷️ EU TYRE LABEL GRADES EXPLAINED
EU Regulation 2020/740 requires all tyres sold in the EU to display standardised ratings. While not mandatory in NZ, it's the best objective comparison tool available. According to validated 19-factor physics modelling (the same model powering our Driving Safety Report), Grade A tyres stop up to 18 metres shorter than Grade E from 80km/h.
What About UTQG?
UTQG (Uniform Tire Quality Grading) compares treadwear against a standardised reference tyre rated at 100. A rating of 520 means the tyre should last 5.2× longer than that specific reference tyre in controlled testing — not 5.2× longer than any random budget tyre you've used before.
Anchee's AC828 and AC858 both achieve 520 A A — our highest rating for treadwear, traction (A), and temperature resistance (A).
🇳🇿 BUILT FOR NZ CONDITIONS
New Zealand's unique driving conditions demand specific tyre characteristics. Here's how Anchee addresses each challenge:
NZ averages 150+ rain days/year. B-grade wet grip (most Anchee patterns) provides reliable stopping power when you need it.
Our aggressive chipseal surfaces accelerate wear. UTQG 420-520 ratings mean Anchee handles the punishment.
City to farm in one trip. AC858 all-terrain handles both sealed and unsealed roads without compromise.
Summer heat to winter frost. Temperature rating A on most patterns means consistent performance year-round.
Farm gates, forestry roads, beach access. Grandtrac MT1 and AC858 built for NZ's working vehicles.
NZ's fastest-growing vehicle segment. EP Founder addresses EV weight, torque, and range requirements.
